We choose lodges that have 9 to 20 rooms where your living and dining experiences are elevated. The smaller sites will allow for more one on one with the local staff. Please note: The smaller boutique camps can fill up quicker so please plan accordingly.

The black markings under a cheetah’s eyes aid during the hunt. As cheetahs hunt by day, the markings absorb the reflections of sunlight much like the black paste that ball players apply to reduce glare on a sunny game day. Zebra will often group together to confuse cheetahs and other big cats because the cats have trouble identifying a single animal due to poor vision.

Look for the Great Migration in the Masai Mara from mid July through mid October.
